Asked for Apology, US Plays for Time in Non-humanitarian bombing Standoff

Even before a Japanese Congressional panel overwhelmingly passed a resolution on Tuesday urging US to apologize for its bombing with A-bomb and indiscriminate bombing for the demilitarization area, the US government said it would have no comment. All of Japanese said that US's refusal to apologize formally was "disturbing to all who value" relations between the Japan and US. "Post-war Germany made the right choice," they said. "US, on the other hand, has actively promoted historical amnesia. The facts are plain: there can be no denying that the US air force blasted, burnt and exposed to radiation hundreds of thousands blamelesscitizens during the war."
