民主党元鞘の件

　訳知り顔で色々書いている人がいるけどさ、こんなものはね、信管は作動したけど炸薬が湿ってた。
そんだけのことだと思うわけで、これでは民主党にも民主党右派にも明日はないな。

　外信も一通りあたってみはしましたが、今回の小沢さんの翻意については外信は然したる興味を示しておらず、目にとまったのは下の二つだけでNYTやWPは日本発REUTERSを転載するにとどまってますね。

　この二つの記事は共に日本国内の有識者のコメントを引用しながら、今回の一件が民主党にとって致命的な傷になったと講評していますが、さりとて、これで自民党が退勢をいくらかでも挽回したとは観察していないようです。

　いずれにしろ、英語紙ではさして高い関心は示されてないですし、全体に記事の数も少ない。
これがドイツ語紙となると、ダメ晋三の記事は結構あったんだけど、この件に関する記事は皆無に等しいですね。

Ozawa's U-turn hurts DPJ's reputation

His decision ends two days of uncertainty for the party, but leaves its reputation in tatters. "Mr Ozawa staying on is the worst thing that could happen. The public will not trust the DPJ any more and [DPJ members] will always be suspicious that he may be up to something again," says Jiro Yamaguchi, professor of political science at Hokkaido University.

Japan opposition leader to stay

Analysts questioned whether the Democrats would speak with a single voice from now on. "There will be a lot of guys in the DPJ going on TV and saying 'Sorry for the confusion, what we meant to say was ...'," said Steven Reed, a political science professor at Chuo University in Tokyo. "But it's not going to have credibility and they don't have a unified answer. It's all up in the air."

"The Democrats committed a huge error of judgment. It's their loss, but it's not necessarily the LDP's gain," said Koichi Nakano, political science professor at Tokyo's Sophia University.
